The Bengals have rebuilt their offensive line and one of the best additions has been center Ted Karras. However, he wasn't always equipped to play in the trenches.
"My dad took me aside in eighth grade and was like, 'you're kind of skinny ... and you need to put on weight,'" Karras said on "The Pat MacAfee Show." "I actually gained 100 pounds in one year. I drank a gallon of milk before school every day for a whole year."

Karras added he also grew four inches but that could have been due to puberty. Now 6-foot-4, 310 pounds, things have certainly worked out.
The 30-year-old signed a three-year, $18M contract with Cincinnati last offseason and it seems to have been a good deal for the Bengals. Karras allowed just two sacks in 2022, according to Pro Football Focus.
Since sharing his story, Karras has received a few new nicknames. However, the favorite seems to be "the milk man."

Cincinnati fans have a lot to be thankful for these days and they may now want to add milk to the list because without it, they may not be heading into 2023 with one of the best offensive lines in franchise history.
