Buccaneers not expected to trade for Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette

It looks like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won't be making a trade for Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette, according to ESPN.

While the Buccaneers will reportedly look to add depth at running back in this year's draft, the Jaguars have had discussions with multiple teams about trading the 25-year-old.

Fournette rushed for a career high last season with 1,152 yards, but had just three touchdowns which is his lowest total since joining the league in 2017.

It's odd that the Buccaneers most likely won't be adding the talented Fournette, but maybe it's because of his $4.16 million base salary in 2020.

The Bucs don't have much depth at RB currently with Ronald Jones and Dare Ogunbowale currently leading the pack.

With Tom Brady in the fold for the next two years, Tampa Bay will likely bulk up at running back, whether it be in the draft or via trade, to suit Brady's desires.

The Buccaneers hold the 14th, 45th and 76th overall picks in the draft, which may be possible for a team to add some solid talent to its roster moving forward.
