Napoli are expected to zero in on Konstantinos Mavropanos after Lille officialized Kevin Danso’s extension. The Ligue 1 side blatantly teased the Partenopei in the video announcing the new contract of the defender.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the jibe by Le Sang et Or testifies that the Scudetto winners’ attempt for the Austrian international was serious. However, their offer wasn’t as rich enough.

While Napoli haven’t ruled out other options, Mavropanos currently sit atop their wish list following the Danso news. Atletico Madrid are pursuing him too. Stuttgart warned the Colchoneros that they needed to put forth an offer within the next couple of days. Otherwise, they’ll start bargaining with other sides. The Bundesliga outfit demands €22M to part ways with the 25-year-old.

The Partenopei have also been linked to Brazilian center-back Murillo. He addressed the transfer market chatter in a press conference (via OneFootball).

“I’m very serene and completely focused on Corinthians. My mind is here. I leave those matters to my agents, which know what’s best for me. Whatever happens, happens. But I’m wholly concentrated on my club at the moment.

On top of Mavropanos and Murillo, Napoli reportedly showed interest in Wolverhampton’s Max Kilman and Dinamo Zagreb’s Josip Sutalo. However, the former is very expensive, and the latter is close to Ajax, Tuttomercatoweb informs.
