Tottenham Hotspur are interested in acquiring the services of Baris Alper Yilmaz.

The North London club have big plans for the upcoming summer transfer window. Ange Postecoglou is looking to reinforce his squad ahead of next season and according to a report by HITC, Spurs are keen on signing Manchester United target Baris Alper Yilmaz.

The 23-year-old has been in sensational form this season. He has featured in 51 matches for Turkish giants Galatasaray and has contributed towards 15 goals (6 goals, 9 assists). His impressive performances, huge potential and versatility are major reasons why multiple top clubs have been scouting him.

Yilmaz is an exceptional player who can almost feature anywhere on the pitch. While he prefers playing right-wing, the 23-year-old has also been used as a right-back. He has featured on the left flank as well as a centre-forward when needed.

His contract with the Turkish club runs until the summer of 2027 and clubs like Manchester United and Spurs will have to pay the asking price if they want to sign him. Galatasaray are looking to raise around £22 million from his departure and it will be interesting to see if Spurs can beat Manchester United to his signature.

The Red Devils watched him up close in action in the Champions League group stages earlier in the season. The 23-year-old even assisted one of the goals in Galatasaray’s famous 3-2 win at Old Trafford. That performance might have put him on Manchester United’s radar.

But, they are not the only ones in the mix, Tottenham are also keen on having Yilmaz in their ranks. Spurs are looking at the Super Lig for potential value-for-money signings and are interested in the Turkish international as they feel he could add great depth to Postecoglou’s team and give him more options to work with.

Spurs need to add more creativity and goals to their attack. Signing a versatile attacker who can slot in anywhere across the front three could prove to be a wise decision.
